hello! well, i've been having a really really busy weekend this week!! was realy busy reqding harry potter and teh deathly hallows!! it was fabulous! i love the way JK Rowling tied up all teh loose knots and how surprising those twists happening in teh story! like severus snape who killed dumbledore in the previous book? voldermort VS harry? i cant say much.. dont wanna be a spoiler. but i just want to say that this book is a MUST read if you're fond of harry potter!! its just such a beautiful story...
i screamed when teh post man delivered the harry potter book on friday la! so shocked he delivered it this week instead of next week! cus my dad and i made a grave mistake last week by ordering teh book only a day before teh release date of harry- 21st july. we were supposed to order it 7 days before teh release date, if we're intending to get the book on teh date of release. so i was feeling super sian this week in school, thinking about the harry potter book that has yet to reached my hands. and i would be staring at any one in my school who is reading harry potter book along the corridoors, canteen or even lecture halls. but they diddnt realise la. who would realise so when faced with HARRY POTTER book?! one will bound to be mesmerised by 95% of its contents. thats for me.
but what tiring part for me when faced with reading this book, is that the the past life which albus dumbledore faced, was mentioned and elaborated frequently.
last weekend was even more memorable for myself. teh week was fun and on monday, i went for my dad's NTU convocation. it was teh first ceremony for the 2007 convocation. my dad said that Ph.D graduation is always on teh first ceremony, along with otehr graduates. it was a reallynice day to share his happiness with him on that day. we also took loads of pics but i've not yet uploaded them. my dad means a lot to me and that day's events makes me cherish him even further than ever.
i don't intend to climb up the ladder till the Ph.D level as i'm not too keen onto researching, but he has certainly heightened my aspiration and determination to enter a desired course in the loal university. NUS is really and superbly near my house. its eitehr i take one bus down, teh bus opposite teh road from teh one that i take to innova, or i cross a road. thus i'm really tempted to enter there. however if teh admission to enter a bio course is so difficult there since it is widely known to be specialised in its sciences, then i sure set my eyes to NTU then. i'm sure its science courses aint that bad. they are just MORE specialised in teh field of engineering. anyway my dad got his doctorate in mechanical engineering. the colour of the graduation robes for mechnaical engineering certainly looks majestic. (:
i went out with celestine on saturday. that sunday marked teh end of teh great s'pore sale. well, i bought an item. teh item which i have been longing for, for about a year. a black pants!! (: its a "G2000 blu" pants. i dont know why, but i've fallen in lovve lately with G2000 or its associated company, U2. i bought a brown and navy green pants from U2 last year. love them. teh quality is superb. (: so i wore teh black pants together with my brown half dress on the day of my dad's graduation on monday. i think tehy matched really nicely although i think i overdress a little. haha..

school? well i'm dreading teh september holidays now. cos shortly after that holiday, would be my mid-course exam a.k.a end of year exams. groans. and to make matters look slightly more gloomy, my birthday is on a friday. a day before teh start of teh holidays. sigh..
discussed with my dad about my studies last week. he was telling me about his friend's experience who went to teh JC when he was younger. he said that his ifriend worked really hard, as "he knew he would die if oesn't do well in his A levels. he would have no where to go." i was slightly paralysed in shock. that hadn't come upon me. foolish as it may sound. i was slightly taken aback esp by teh word "die". well, teh year 2007 is drawing to an end and if a year has fallen back so quickly, why not just finish it quickly and properly? lets just allow the misery sweep past us quickly. trying our best to enjoy our learning.
but i'm still feeling repulsed at the idea of lessons ending at 7, each time i think about it. i'm seriously annoyed and dismayed about it each time i think about it. how can they?? lessons end latest at 3.30 pm for J2s in Catholic JC. and haha. ours at lets see.. 1.40pm?? or is it 2.40? i dont know. whatever it is, we're still much later. and i dislike it terribly when lesson ends at 7. cus i am going to reach home at 8.15; not 8 ( i looked at my watch carefully teh otehr time). and by teh time i've settled down, its about 9.30pm. so annoyed la.

anyway, i'm a little tight financially now. >.< so many people's b'day coming up before mine! groans. and i've not yet paid my dad for teh Harry Potter and teh Deatly Hallows book, which costed $48. haha..
enough said. and i dont know why but i still dread school. still don't feel that right. conformity? haha. well i guess its my perspective afterall. sigh.. but i find myself keep giving teh same excuse: conflict in belief and personality. but thinking again, you'll face all sort of different and opposite personalities from otehrs when you're at teh real world isn't it. ha.
but on the positive aspect, at least i love home much greater than before.
a link for ppl who have already read HP & teh deatly hallows: aftermath of teh characters after the story. note: spoilers for those who have yet to read it
