Exams are finally overed and i am so gleeful about it. After our last paper yesterday which is Chemistry, I just felt so relieved that everything is finally overed; at least for now. Studying for my sec 3 mid-yr is really a disastrious and torturing one. There's simply so many subjects that we are supposed to revise. Or should i say study? cus there are quite a sum of subjects that were not studied at all initially. hmm.. But feeling rather worried and anxious over my results now. One needs to have confidence in oneself- I know that. But sometimes, we are just too overwhelmed by all our emotions i guesss.
Anyway talking about emotions, i watched Star Wars: The Revenge Of The Sixth yesterday evening at jurong point with my dad. He had ordered the movie tickets online a few days ago as i had suggested watching the movie since i am really sicked and tired of studying. This last movie that George Lucas is producing is really fantastic. I must say that i have not been really appreciative of the movie all these years. Just found it a bore with many fighting scenes that always appear the same every now and than.
But this new movie is really fantastic. There are many great themes lying behind the movie and teh fightings are really much more interesting and genuine. In fact, I am a little sad after watching the movie. I began asking myself why must starwalker- anakein turn to the evil side. Why must he????? It's really disappointing how such a wonderful and a skilful Jedi become such an evil one at the end of the movie. It is really sad and disappointing as you watch the transformation of a good ol' Anakein into the evil Darth Vader who is ruthless and power-crazy. He is simply so crazy at the end of the movie. To the extend that he wants to take over the position of the Chancellor (The Dark Lord) . sigh..
And what is most sad and heart grieving here is that this Jedi eventually turns against his own master- Obi-One, who had taught him everything since he was a yound boy. What kind of payment is this?? I simply can't stand this kind of story plot. As i was watching the movie, such thoughts were going inmy head and i wondered for a thousandth times for the reasons why George Lucas made this episode so depressing.
Hence, i would really want everyone to watch this movie. This movie is not as boring and typical as i thought. And i am sure you wouold not regret after viewing it. However I still prefer Lord Of The Rings (Return of the king) than this Last episode of Star Wars. Though there are much more themes lying behind this movie about star wars than LOTR, LOTR is still defitnitly a much more solid piece of movie.
LOTR merely tells one about friendship, and how Frodo had foresaken his friendship for his greed for the ring and how much forces can influence one. It also talks about the meanings behind war and the emotions occuring during a war time. As for Star Wars: Revege of the sixth, it has abundant underylying meaniongs.
- Never look down on the small (yoda). Look how skilful, strong and agile his movements are!
- Feelings of anger, hatred and jealousy always lead one to the evil side. This is one theme in this movie that is closely linked to human being's reactions in our daily lives.
- When one has power over certain issues, they sometimes may want more. The more power they have, the more they long to get for more. Therefore i conclude that one must not have too much power in your hands. I find this rather sad. You may be such a great person. But your life may be totally ruined at such circumstances.
- One aspect which i found rather interesting was that the reason why anakeins turned to the dark side was due to love. His dreams were always rather accurate. And he had dreamt his wife dying from giving birth to their child. Hence, this movie shows how much love can influence one's decisions. It's so sad to see people blinded by love, causing them to make decisions that they are unwilling to follow. Hence, don't get blinded by love!
- And in the end, Darth Vader killed his own wife from anger. You see how the movie goes? He joinned the evil side due to his wanting for more power and to ruke the universe. In lieu of that he wants to "save his wife", which the chancellor had "promised". But due to him going to the evill side, he is so blinded that he killed his own wife. Ins't it pathethic?????
- Be grateful!! Anakeins had betrayed his own mater at the end of the movie. sigh.. the master must have been feeling so stupid as his own enemy is now someone who is so skilful as he had taught him himself.
Insn't this whole movie of star wars sad and pathethic? Sigh.. A great movie you must watch!!! Cya later.. i gotta go for now. But i promise i will relate on my events that happenedsince a month ago. haha..
