● Jurong Regional Library @ Wednesday, June 16, 2004 ●
16.06.04- Wednesday.
Since there is no band this week, so i chose to go out with my friend on the day where band practice used to commence.
We went to Jurong East... I almost got lost, as i took a different bus stop to Jurng East. I used to take the bus stop, which is oppposite Ginza Plaza, following that, take bus 143 or 51. To jurong East. But that day, was different. I took the bus stop, which is at the Expressway. I knew there was a bus to take from there, to Jurong East. So i just took the bus which i think would take me Jurong East.haha..
We went to the Jurong East Library.. and found out that it opens at 12nn. Isn't that late? haiz.. At that time, it was only about 9am.. S we went to Jurong East Entertainment centre to do our homework....
After eating our lunch, we walked towards the Jurong East library.. It is now called the jurong Regional Library. There was a strong crowd, crowded outside the library, waiting for it to open.... This is the first time i've seen such a big crowd waiting outside, a library, for it to open. They looked impatient, but luckily, aren't rowdy. haha.. Anyway, that day would be my first time going to the Jurong Regional Library.
When i entered, my first impression was that it is really huge, and nice. It looks a little posh; but i feel that the Orchard library is much more posh and chic. The size of the jurong library cannot be compared to teh Orchard library. The Jurong library, has a total of 5 levels.
B1- Children. (I can't be bothered to even step into the basement. haha)
1- General (Newpaper, adult story books. They really had a huge collection of boks. =))
2- General Reference (You should know... Just plain reference)
3- Adults (All the boring stuff)
4- VergingAllTeens (Teenagers level. This level is really cool. There are lots of stuff... Even music Cd's... But u can't loan them...... haha.)
If u want me to just say what i think of this new library, i will say that is huge lar. Lots of seats.... Plenty... But.. lotsof teens use it as tables. haha.. to do hw... Every single level, there will be computers... and tables... It is as huge as teh Woodlands Regional Library. The collection of books are all pretty new. That's obvious isn't it? haha.
I would be glad to go there again, if i've got the chance....
